ACTIVIST PROFFERS SOLUTIONS TO NATIONWIDE PROTESTS. CHARGES FG TO ACT WITHOUT DELAY

An activist, simply identified as EE, has proffered solutions to the ongoing nationwide protests .

The activist released the possible solutions in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday.

He argued that no amount of bullets can stop hungry Nigerians from protesting against and to end bad governance and hunger, adding that any live bullet released against the Protesters will escalate the situation.

“ No amount of harassment and intimidation from the Police and the Armed forces can stop hungry Nigerians from protesting against bad governance and hunger.

“ No amount of Police Teargas can stop hungry Nigerians from protesting, instead any drop of Police Teargas will escalate the Protest to unimaginable levels.

“ No Niger delta Warlords including Asari Dukubo can stop hungry Nigerians from Protesting. No Traditional Ruler can stop hungry Nigerians from protesting.

“ Even Governors cannot stop hungry Nigerians in their respective states from joining the Peaceful Protest.

“ Who said that Nigerians are happy with their respective state governors who have been receiving increased allocations from Abuja yet nothing tangible to show for it. Governors are integral cause(s) of bad governance and hunger in Nigeria.

“ No amount of Pro- Government sponsored protests can stop hungry Nigerians from protesting against and to end bad governance and hunger.

“ The Protest commenced  August 1, 2024 as planned and is fast gaining momentum. The Protest took off across the six geopolitical zones… South East resorted to sit-at-home to prevent hoodlums and criminals from hijacking the Street Protest after which Mazi Nnmadi Kanu will be blamed and held responsible for killings of innocent Nigerians including Policemen and soldiers on their lawful duties, which may arise.

“ Only Mr President can stop the Protest by announcing the following:

(1) immediate reduction in pump price of fuel and other petroleum products by half.

(2)Reduction in price of 50kg bag of RICE by half.

(3)Amendment of the CFRN to allow INEC to conduct local Government elections in addition to the financial autonomy granted by Supreme Court in the recent landmark judgement. The CFRN can be amended hurriedly within ten days to allow INEC conduct Local Government elections, to calm frayed nerves.

 (4) Release Nnmadi kanu.

“ Mr President, start with and do the above four items and see how Nigerians will celebrate you, go off the streets and stop sit-at-home, immediately “, he said.
