Today, on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we at CSAAE reaffirm our commitment to protecting vulnerable children and youth from exploitation. Human trafficking remains one of the gravest violations of human rights in our time, and sadly, children are often the most affected—especially those who are out of school, living in poverty, or displaced.
This year’s theme, “Leave No Child Behind,” resonates deeply with our ongoing Back to School (B2S) Project in Imo State, where we are working to send 500 children back to school before the new academic year begins.
Why education? Because education is protection.
Children who are in school are less likely to fall prey to traffickers. They are more informed, more empowered, and more connected to their communities. Education gives them a voice—and a future.
In many rural communities across Imo State, we’ve seen firsthand how poverty and lack of access to education create fertile ground for trafficking. Unscrupulous individuals exploit the desperation of families, offering false promises of jobs or scholarships, only to lure children into forced labor, domestic servitude, or worse.

Through the B2S Project, CSAAE is not just giving out school supplies—we’re restoring hope. We’re working with local leaders, schools, and families to identify at-risk children and ensure they return to safe, supportive learning environments. We’re also raising awareness about trafficking and how communities can protect their children.
But we can’t do it alone.
We invite you—our partners, donors, and fellow advocates—to join us in this fight. Whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, your support helps us reach more children and keep them safe.

On this World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, let’s remember: every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and dream—free from fear and exploitation.
Let’s break the chains. Let’s send them back to school.
