C-Advocate  Launches “See Something, Say Something” Radio Program to Expose Social Injustices

The maiden edition of the (See Say) “See Something, Say Something” radio program, an initiative of C-Advocate Newspaper and TV, a subsidiary of the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE), aired successfully on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 in partnership with Ozisa 96.1 FM Owerri and the Ubenwanne Foundation.

C-Advocate reports that this groundbreaking program is designed to spotlight and address pressing societal issues such as human rights abuse, bad governance, corruption, and breaches of the rule of law, our core areas.

The live broadcast aired simultaneously on the C-Advocate Newspaper & TV Facebook page and Ozisa FM 96.1 Owerri.

During its debut episode, the program received three reports of ongoing child abuse cases in Imo State, all of which have been escalated for proper follow-up and action.

These reports underscore the urgent need for platforms that give voice to the voiceless and provide safe avenues for whistleblowing.

Callers Nnadozie and Chibuikem were among those who phoned in to express appreciation for the initiative.

They called on well-meaning Imo residents and Nigerians to support and promote such interventions aimed at building a more just and accountable society.

“There are so many injustices going on around us. People often don’t know where or how to report, and many are afraid to speak up. This program has come at the right time to bridge that gap,” one of the callers remarked.

The See Say platform was created to encourage citizens to speak up and report injustices rather than turning a blind eye.

In the words of the host Blessing Iriaka: “When we ignore the wrongs in our society, they spread like wildfire and eventually, no one is spared.”

The program is scheduled to air every Wednesday at 2:00 PM WAT. Listeners within and outside Nigeria can watch the livestream on C-Advocate Newspaper & TV’s Facebook and YouTube channels or via Ozisa FM Online Radio.

With this initiative, CSAAE and its partners continue to champion social accountability and empower citizens to take an active role in shaping a better society.
