CSAAE Trains Primary Educators on Code of Ethics

CSAAE has trained primary educators on Code of Ethics for successful professional development. 

C-Advocate Newspaper reports that the virtual training which took place on Saturday was tagged “Code of Ethics for Educators: Primary Educators “. 

The session focused on fostering ethical standards and values among educators at the foundational level of education.

Held virtually on Zoom and simultaneously live-streamed on Facebook, the event attracted a wide audience, including educators, parents, school administrators, and other education stakeholders eager to engage in discussions about ethical teaching practices.

In his opening remarks, Founder of the CSAAE, Rev. Fr. Godswill Agbagwa, underscored the vital role of ethics in shaping the moral and intellectual growth of young learners. 

He stressed that primary educators “are pivotal in laying the groundwork for responsible citizenship and must adhere to a clear and practical code of ethics to fulfill this role effectively”. 

A resource person at the webinar , Mr  Hephzibah Nzeribe, explored the practical applications of ethical principles in classroom settings.

Also, Rev. Mrs. Suzie Okoro highlighted the challenges and responsibilities primary educators face in upholding ethical standards.

Both speakers engaged participants with thoughtful insights and real-world examples, encouraging educators to reflect on their professional conduct and commitment to ethical teaching.

The webinar concluded with a strong call to action, urging educators to commit wholeheartedly to ethical teaching practices and to serve as exemplary role models for their pupils. 

CSAAE reaffirmed its dedication to promoting ethics across all sectors of society and announced plans for upcoming webinars targeting secondary and tertiary educators.
