Customer Service Week: FRSC committed to quality service delivery, says Corps Marshal

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, says the organization remains committed to satisfactory service delivery to ensure safety on Nigerian roads.

Mohammed said this in Owerri during the celebration of the corps’ 37th annual Customer Service Week, for year 2024.

He spoke on the theme of this year’s celebration, “Above and Beyond”.

Mohammed, represented by the FRSC Corps Commander in Imo, Mr Anthony Uga, thanked the corps’ customers for their support and unwavering commitment to the mission of the corps.

He urged the stakeholders, including road users, transport unions, driving schools, service providers and governments at all levels, to “go above and beyond” their challenges for best results.

“The FRSC remains committed to excellent, satisfactory service delivery and a positive brand image that will, in turn, foster a sense of goodwill and loyalty in customers,“ he said.

Mohammed thanked officers of the corps for their hard work and affirmed his commitment to their welfare.

Also, the Imo Commissioner for Transport, Mr Chika Abazu, pledged the ministry’s continued strategic partnership with the FRSC.

Abazu, represented by a senior staff member of the ministry, Mr Ben Uwakwe, urged FRSC to tackle the prevalence of fake number plates among other challenges on the roads.

The Acting Executive Chairman of the Imo Internal Revenue Service, Mr Justice Okoye, promised to step up efforts at maximizing the utility for revenues, while working collaboratively with the FRSC to enable it to meet its mandate.

A major highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to staff members of the command, who were outstanding in their assignments.
