The Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE), owners of C-Advocate
Newspaper, will, on Dec. 10, 2024, draw the curtain to series of activities marking the celebration of its 10 years anniversary, 10 year of existence amd 10 years of bold,
impactful service to humanity.
Before the round up of the anniversary activities, C-Advocate presents our readers with an insight into the impact that the CSAAE has had on humanity since its inception in 2013.
Recall that CSAAE’s impact areas include entrepreneurship, women empowerment, youth empowerment, primary healthcare and primary education.
These impact areas are deployed to achieve the Centre’s impact initiatives which include the C-Enterprise; C-Tech; C-Advocate newspaper and C-Advocate TV, our media channels for citizens’s rights advocacy and the Network of Effective African Leaders (NEAL), the members of which aspire to influential leadership positions in Africa and promote ethical leadership.
Other impact areas of the CSAAE are the Digiwomen who are supported by the CSAAE to accompany each other on the digital literacy journey and the C-Advocate Lawyers who investigate and fight the abuse of law.
Others are the Young Mompreneurs Initiative (YOMI) who work with each other and with the CSAAE to start and grow enterprises in areas of market demand; the Ethics Ambassadors who promote ethical leadership in business and professional life, as well as the Youth Ethics Network which is off campus and the Students Ethics Network, a campus based network.
Impact is achieved in these areas with the help of our Human Rights Anchors who promote, protect and defend human rights; the Rule of Law Champions who promote, protect and defend the rule of law; the Good Governance Ambassadors who advocate for quality and effective public service delivery and the Anti Corruption Crusaders who fight corruption at all levels.
The CSAAE’s success stories speak for themselves, hence the Centre’s growth from strength to strength.
In one instance, a beneficiary of CSAAE’s citizens interventions, Mr Chikezie Russel, has grown from being a student to becoming a Chief Executive Officer, thanks to the Centre’s mentorship.
With the skills and training garnered from the CSAAE, Russel, the Chief Executive Officer of Afrimush farms has taken mushroom farming to another level.
From indoor mushroom farming to processing, packaging and sales of mushroom for pharmaceuticals, industrial and other uses, Russel has become a large scale producer, able to export and compete beyond Nigeria, courtesy of the CSAAE.
Mr. Samson Okolienta, now also a CEO, joined the CSAAE at 16 and is currently not just an employer of labour but, caters for the wage bill of about 10 employees and their dependents.
In the area of infrastructure, our C-Advocate newspaper and television have spoken for the voiceless and led to positive change.
A report by the C-Advocate newspaper led to the restoration of power supply in 23 communities of Imo state.
CSAAE’s intervention exposed the state of Community Primary School, Obibiezina, with a member of the House of Representatives intervening in due course following C-Advocate’s report.
Alice Shama, who owns a fashion brand and a host of other successful persons, many of whom have travelled abroad with help from the Centre.
Indeed , CSAAA’s citizens focused interventions have come a long way and is therefore worthy of every celebration.
