The Convener of the Mbano Youth Summit and National Health Fellow (Cohort 1) who represented Ehime Mbano Local Government Area at the national level, Comr. Agbakwo Magnus Chidiebere, has been honoured with the Golden Award of Excellence in Social Services Impact on Community Development.
The award was presented during the Ehime Mbano 1st Leadership & Impact Awards 2026, organized by the Ehime Mbano Young Professionals Forum (EMYPF), in recognition of his outstanding contributions to youth development, public health advocacy, leadership, and community service.
He also received a Certificate of Recognition from the Executive Chairman of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, reaffirming the local government’s appreciation of his impact.
Over the years, Agbakwo has championed several initiatives that have positively impacted the lives of young people and vulnerable communities.
As Convener of the Mbano Youth Summit, he has led programs focused on youth empowerment, leadership development, career guidance, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
Through his role as a National Health Fellow, he implemented health promotion initiatives, strengthened community participation in primary healthcare, and advanced public health advocacy across Ehime Mbano.
Speaking after receiving the award, Agbakwo expressed profound gratitude to the organizers and the Executive Chairman for recognizing his efforts.
He described the honour as a motivation to deepen his commitment to selfless service, noting that the award belongs to every volunteer, mentor, partner, and community member who has supported his journey.
The recognition has been widely applauded by community leaders and young people, who described it as a fitting tribute to a passionate advocate whose dedication continues to inspire positive change across Ehime Mbano and beyond.
